Yes, although John Zorn's abysmal liner notes would have you believe otherwise this cd's only connection to Mike Patton is that it has been issued by his ispeakcak label... although he would like to take credit for much more (producer ???), this is the fact. Patton, lord! he's not even worthy of being slapped by the great mozza's shadow let alone, as zorn would suggest be ranked along side him as another great 'misunderstood artist' ? .... Anyway, enough rant ... to the good shit and believe us there is bucketloads, well 2 cd's worth of amazing gear in this set .. All the noir drenched jazz, tortured whispering, savage strings and outright oddball combinations are gathered in one compact set that is sure to surprise those only familiar with the the western classic or breezy pop numbers that dominate "Morricone airplay" ... for the nerds, well i consider myself one, but without a doubt this is one of the finest if not THE finest collection of Mozza's "out" works and contains a multitude of tracks which have until this point escaped me! Bless thee Sir Alan Bishop (are you a sir also???) for your contribution to Western culture is bar none... r.e.s.p.e.c.t! And Morricone, well you just calm down boy, you sat outside and made your own world... all shall remain thankful for many, many, many years...
